The Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon

Sunday, June 4, 2017, De Anza College, Cupertino

The Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon was created to make the sport of triathlon fun for kids! The event is open to boys and girls aged 4 to 15 and is one of the country's largest triathlons specifically for kids. The kids start the race with swimming at the De Anza College pool. From the swim, the kids run to the transition area to put on their helmets, shoes, and anything else they need. They then mount their bikes and head out to the bike course on the roads inside the De Anza College campus. When the kids are done with the bike, they head back to transition to put their bike away, and head to run on the De Anza Track. They finish the race on the track by crossing through the finishing chute!

The Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon has again selected Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley as one of their event beneficiaries along with several other local non-profit organizations that support kids! In exchange for being a charity partner (which means Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley will receive a portion of the event's net proceeds), we need to provide a group of volunteers for the event. If you're interested in volunteering on behalf of Girls on the Run at this event click HERE.
