Once a GOTR girl, always a GOTR girl!

We are so excited to announce our three 2024 Alumni StarPower Scholarship recipients: Gillian V., Reagan H. and Ally K.! Each of the GOTRSV alumni received a $1,000 scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. Thank you to all our alumni that applied and our donors that make this scholarship possible! "Thanks to Girls on the Run, I discovered a joy in running and have been a part of my middle and high school's cross country and track and field teams ever since. Through these experiences, I have grown as an athlete and person and I have met some of the most wonderful people. I hope everyone discovers the joy of running and the special feeling of being on a team by participating in Girls on the Run. I am attending the University of Pennsylvania to study nursing and plan to become a pediatric nurse practitioner to help kids facing life-threatening illnesses." - Gillian V "I was a part of Girls On The Run for 4 years! I had the immense pleasure of participating in this amazing program with my mom, who was one of our coaches, and I will always hold this organization close to my heart! The program that started off as just another activity in my younger years, became life lessons and memories I will forever be grateful for. I plan on attending Purdue University to study Interior Design in hopes of one day owning my own business!" - Reagan H "Girls on the Run has drastically changed my life - instilling the importance of health, embodying confidence, and embracing joy during my 3 years of participation. These lessons allowed me to pursue my passions while spreading kindness along the way. GOTR’s positive impact on my life led me to continue to run in middle & high school, where I was varsity captain of the cross country team· I just completed my first year at Foothill College, double majoring in mathematics & computer science while swimming for my school’s team.
